  • Peace in Cognitive Wellness PLLC offers individual therapy services to adults across Texas. All sessions are provided through secure telehealth for convenience and accessibility.

  • Telehealth allows me to provide therapy and mental health services through secure technology rather than in-person office visits. Sessions are conducted using HIPAA-compliant video, audio, phone, and secure messaging, allowing clients to receive care from the comfort of their home or another private location.

    Is Telehealth effective?
Yes. Research shows that Telehealth can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health concerns, as long as a higher level of care or specialized services are not required.

    Is telehealth right for everyone?
Telehealth can be an effective option for many people, but it may not be sufficient as the sole form of care in all situations. In-person services or a higher level of support may be more appropriate for individuals experiencing acute safety concerns (such as severe or imminent suicidal ideation, ongoing self-injury, or risk of harm to others), significant loss of contact with reality, severe dissociation, or active substance use concerns. Telehealth may also be limited when a client does not have access to a private and confidential space for sessions. Appropriateness for telehealth is determined collaboratively based on individual needs and clinical judgment.

Unsure if Telehealth is a good fit for you?
I offer a free 10-minute consultation to discuss your specific needs and determine whether Telehealth is appropriate for your situation. Please contact me at 832.271.1935 to get started.

  • Before we can have a session together, I will send you two emails: one containing my private practice policies and another with insurance verification (if you plan to use insurance). Once these forms are completed, we will coordinate by text to schedule your session. I make every effort to schedule new clients as soon as possible, typically within the following week. If a cancellation becomes available, I will reach out to see if I can schedule you sooner.

  • Confidentiality is taken very seriously at Peace in Cognitive Wellness PLLC. Protecting your privacy is essential to building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.

What you share in therapy is confidential. However, there are limited legal and ethical exceptions in which I may be required to share information to protect your safety or the safety of others. These include situations where:

    • I have reasonable suspicion that a child, elderly person, or vulnerable/dependent adult is being abused, neglected, or is at risk of harm.
    • You present an imminent risk of seriously harming yourself and protective steps are necessary to support your safety.
    • You make a credible and imminent threat of serious harm toward another person, and action is required to protect potential victims.

In these situations, I am required by law and professional ethics to take appropriate steps to protect those involved.

  • I accept most insurance plans, and your out-of-pocket cost may be a copay or deductible. We verify coverage before your first session, but clients are encouraged to check with their own insurance, as benefits and pricing can change. I typically use Headway and Alma to confirm coverage.

For insurance clients, out-of-pocket costs are usually $20–$40 per session. The standard session rate without the use of insurance is $125 per hour (55 minutes), with shorter sessions available in special cases.

The number of sessions needed depends on your unique goals and needs.

    Experiencing financial hardship?
I occasionally offer a sliding scale for clients if there is availability in that schedule. Please reach out to discuss options for more affordable mental healthcare.

  • A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) provides an approximate calculation of the costs for therapy services, including session fees, duration, and any additional charges, before you begin therapy. It helps you understand your expected financial commitment upfront.

If you are paying out-of-pocket (self-pay), I will provide a GFE before your intake session. If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your GFE, you have the right to dispute the charges.

If you are using insurance, a GFE is not required, as your insurer determines coverage and costs.

For more information on Good Faith Estimates and the No Surprises Act, please reach out.

  • You can pay for sessions using a credit or debit card or Health Savings (HSA) and Flexible Spending (FSA) accounts.
